The March for Life and a Call To Speak the Truth in Love

    January 29, 2021 /

I’ve shared before that my mother is one of the founders of the March for Life. She was a “stay-at-home” mom, pregnant with her 4th child (me), when she traveled to DC to meet with 6 people to decide what to do about the one year anniversary of Roe V. Wade. Little did she, or anybody at that meeting, know that they would become the founding members of the largest human rights march in the history of the world. Let it be known, this March was founded on Love — love for all people of every race, creed and ability — and that Love is what makes it different from…

The Early Days of the March for Life & Why We March Now

    January 18, 2019 /

My mother is one of the founders of the March for Life. Let it be known that these people did not hate women. Hate was never the foundation of this movement. In fact, to this day, you would be hard-pressed to find a woman hater in the…

Herculaneum, Memento Mori, and Striking Out Against the Darkness

    January 19, 2018 /

Today is a somber day.  It’s a day when we remember the 59 million babies aborted since Roe V. Wade.  It’s also a day where we remember their mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers.  It’s a sad day for many. Last year, I wrote this post about Why We March.  If you want to know why we march, please read that post.  There is no judgement here, only love. If you regret your abortion, please know God wants to heal you and bring you past that hurt.  He loves you — always has and always will!  For more information on healing, start here. Like I said, it’s a somber day,…

    Random Thoughts: Keep Marching Baby

    February 2, 2017 /

The March for Life was amazing!  I gotta say — it was  definitely worth the 18 hours of round-trip travel time and every other chaotic moment that comes with traveling with 6 kids.  So glad we went! It was such an impactful experience that it’s hard to put my mind around it all — but I’m gonna try.  To gain better perspective on the reasons for the March, you might like to check out last week’s post Why We March. But for those of you who’d don’t mind a few random thoughts here or there — I offer you my “Random thoughts on the March for Life”.  Enjoy. First Random Thought: Preach it. Pope John Paul II got the importance of…

    Why We March…

    January 25, 2017 /

My mother is one of the founders of the March for Life — in fact, she was pregnant with me during that first March — and the story of how it all came about is an interesting one. A few years prior to the March, my mother found herself in a convent in the South. Though the “nun” thing didn’t work out, this time did help her to gain insight into the plight of the African-American living in the South at the time. Having a heart for what they were suffering, she decided that she was going to help black men and women register and exercise their right to vote. She marched with Martin Luther King,…
