Lots of Changes Happening

This week, we drop two of our kids off at school and will return to the final days of summer — with two less children in our home! So many emotions happening right now!

I am so happy that my kids are going to great places, but I also really just wish we could always live together at home as a family. Forever and ever. Amen!

But, I know that is not how it was meant to be. Our kids were meant to go off and do things with their lives — things that could bring them to far off places, without us! I’m just so grateful for John and this crew of kids that God has given to us. So incredibly grateful!

Part of loving them so much, though, makes letting them go off into this world a lot more difficult. The irony of it all!

I’m not a cryer, in general, but I really think tomorrow’s drop off might be one of those special occasions where I cry — or maybe I’ll keep it together until after I say goodbye to my son. The possibilities are endless, but what I do know is that I will miss my kids while they are gone.

The house will be a very different place, and there is a big part of me that wishes we could still be together in our beautiful little home away from home in Santorini — eating good food, watching beautiful sunsets and just marveling at the beauty of this world and the beauty of family life.

Oh, boy, keep it together, Moira!

Love these kids so much!

Prayers would be appreciated during this time — for safety, health and a blessed transition for all of us.

Next week I’ll try share more on our Greek family pilgrimage, but for now, have a beautiful weekend!
